Russian targets hit on 15 September: Syzran refinery and Atlant Aero
Ukrainian forces struck two strategic Russian facilities overnight on 15 September: the Syzran oil refinery in Samara Oblast and UAV manufacturer Atlant Aero in Taganrog. Both targets have been added to the Demilitarizator statistics.
Syzran oil refinery
Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed a direct hit and fire at the Syzran refinery. The AVT-6 primary crude-processing unit and the tank farm were struck.
The Rosneft-owned facility can process about 8.9 million tonnes of crude a year. It produces petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and other petroleum products used to supply Russian forces.
Atlant Aero
Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed explosions and a fire at the Atlant Aero facility in Taganrog.
The company manufactures Molniya strike-reconnaissance drones and components for Orion UAVs used by Russian forces in the war against Ukraine.
