Ilsky refinery, Azov plant and Gubkinskaya oil depot struck
On 26 September 2026, Ukrainian forces struck three facilities in Russia: the Ilsky oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant in Rostov Oblast and the Gubkinskaya oil depot in Belgorod Oblast.
Ukraine’s General Staff officially confirmed both strikes. Fires and damage to production equipment were recorded at the facilities.
The Ilsky refinery supplies petroleum products used by the Russian military, while the Azov plant manufactures systems and components for missile, artillery and anti-tank weapons.
Update of 28 September: a list published by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces on 26 September separately named the Gubkinskaya oil depot, dating the strike to 26 September. No facility-specific damage assessment was given.
Ilsky oil refinery
A fire was recorded at the Ilsky refinery. According to Ukraine’s Security Service and Unmanned Systems Forces, fires broke out near the tank farm and the ELOU-AVT primary oil-processing unit.
The facility can process about 6.6 million tonnes of oil a year. It receives, stores and processes hydrocarbons, with its products used to supply Russian forces.
Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant
A fire broke out in the plant’s foundry after the strike. Equipment was damaged in five production buildings.
The plant belongs to the Tactical Missiles Corporation and produces opto-mechanical and optoelectronic devices, electronic systems for artillery, missile and anti-tank weapons, and radar seekers for guided missiles.
Gubkinskaya oil depot
The Unmanned Systems Forces listed the Gubkinskaya oil depot among facilities struck by the 413th Regiment on 26 September. The report did not specify the extent of damage.
