Fire at an oil terminal in Rostov-on-Don
Explosions were heard in Rostov-on-Don overnight, followed by a major fire. OSINT analysts used eyewitness footage to locate the blaze in the city’s railway district. Ukrainian media identify the facility as the NZNP oil terminal; some reports also use the name Yug Rusi.
Open-source estimates put the terminal’s handling capacity at around 2.5 million tonnes of petroleum products a year. It is used for exports. The precise extent of damage and the operator’s identity still require clarification.
