Attack on the Nikolskoye oil pumping station near Michurinsk
Overnight into 20 October, monitoring sources reported a prolonged drone attack near Michurinsk in Tambov region. Exilenova+ subsequently identified the burning facility as the Nikolskoye oil pumping and dispatch station and published footage from the scene.
These stations provide infrastructure for receiving, storing and pumping oil and petroleum products. Nikolskoye is a node in Russia’s pipeline system. Disruptions at such stations create problems beyond a single facility, affecting the onward transportation of fuel.
According to OSINT sources, the fire broke out within the station grounds; preliminary reports indicate that a storage tank caught fire.
