Ufa refinery strike and Kamensky rocket fuel plant hit: 31 October 2026 report
A drone attack overnight into 31 October sparked a fire at the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery in the Russian city of Ufa. The same night, Ukrainian forces struck the Kamensky plant in Rostov Oblast, which produces solid rocket propellant. Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed a fire at a finished-products warehouse and damage to four production workshops.
Demilitarizator brings together the main reports on strikes against Russian industrial facilities, the General Staff’s morning figures and the results of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.
Ufa refinery strike: fire at Bashneft-Novoil
Smoke rose above Ufa’s industrial district after the overnight attack. Open-source analysts identified a fire on the grounds of Bashneft-Novoil. The L-35 catalytic reforming unit was named as the likely location of the blaze.
The unit produces high-octane gasoline components. Reforming also generates hydrogen used in fuel treatment. Damage to the unit could affect several connected production processes.
Bashneft-Novoil forms part of Rosneft’s Ufa refining complex. Two other plants, Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and Bashneft-UNPZ, operate nearby.
Monitoring channels report three fire hotspots and a possible attack on two refineries.
Neptune missiles and drones strike the Kamensky plant
The Kamensky plant, part of Russia’s defence industry, came under attack in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov Oblast.
According to Ukraine’s General Staff, the combined operation involved attack drones and the Ukrainian Navy’s Neptune coastal missile systems.
A fire at a finished-products warehouse and damage to four production workshops have been confirmed.
The plant makes solid rocket propellant for ammunition used by Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple-launch rocket systems, as well as other missile systems and air-launched weapons. Its products feed the manufacture of weapons Russia uses against Ukrainian cities and military positions.
General Staff reports strikes on four military supply depots
In the same announcement as the Kamensky strike, the General Staff also reported four Russian military supply depots hit.
They are located near Khartsyzk and Dokuchaievsk in Donetsk Oblast, Novovasylivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Novoaidar in Luhansk Oblast.
