Samara oil dispatch station strike: fire at the oil hub

Prosvet · Samara Oblast · overnight into 2 November 2026
Oil pumping stations

Ukrainian defence forces carried out another strike on the Samara oil dispatch station.

Part of the Transneft network, the station receives, stores and blends crude oil before pumping it onward through trunk pipelines.

Crude arrives from Tatarstan, Western Siberia and other oil-producing regions. Oils with different sulphur content are blended at the station to produce the export grade Urals.

The station is an important link between Russian oil production, refining and exports. Damage to its equipment or storage tanks can disrupt supplies and force changes to crude transport routes.
