Afipsky oil refinery and Russian ammunition depots hit: 6 November report
Ukraine’s Defence Forces hit the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region overnight into 6 November 2026. A fire broke out at the plant’s tank farm. Ukrainian forces also struck two Russian ammunition depots in occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Strike on the Afipsky oil refinery
Ukrainian drones struck the Afipsky refinery overnight. Thick smoke rose over the plant and could be seen from Krasnodar. ASTRA’s open-source analysts reviewed footage from witnesses and traced what appeared to be a large fire to the refinery’s tank farm.
The Afipsky refinery makes diesel, gasoline fractions and kerosene fractions. Some of its output goes to the Russian military. A day earlier, the Ryazan refinery caught fire after a drone attack. Earlier strikes on both plants are listed in our tracker of strikes on Russian oil refineries in 2026.
