Voronezhsintezkauchuk hit: Ukraine strike report for 26 October 2026
Ukrainian long-range FP-1 drones hit the Voronezhsintezkauchuk plant in Voronezh on 26 October. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed the earlier hit on a workshop at Energia in Yelets and reported the effects of strikes on Russian missile industry suppliers.
Demilitarizator brings together the main reports on strikes against Russian targets as of 26 October.
Voronezhsintezkauchuk: Fire Point confirms FP-1 drone strike
Explosions were heard in Voronezh overnight into 26 October and during the morning. Videos later showed smoke and fires in the city’s industrial area. Fire Point confirmed that FP-1 drones had hit the Voronezhsintezkauchuk plant.
The plant belongs to the Sibur group and produces synthetic rubber and thermoplastic elastomers. These materials are used to make tyres, rubber components, seals and other industrial products. The plant’s rubber is used in automotive and aircraft tyres, among other applications.
These are dual-use products needed by both civilian industry and manufacturers of military equipment. Disrupted supplies create problems well beyond a single factory, affecting component suppliers and manufacturers of finished equipment.
General Staff confirms Energia strike and damage at Proton and Tolyattikauchuk
On 26 October, Ukraine’s General Staff reported a hit on a production workshop making power cells at the Energia plant in Yelets. A fire broke out at the factory.
The statement covers operations on 25 October and overnight into 26 October. We covered this missile strike on Energia in the 25 October report.
According to the General Staff, Energia is Russia’s sole manufacturer of batteries for glide and guidance kits fitted to aerial bombs. It also makes power sources for Iskander-M missiles and sea-launched cruise missiles.
The military separately clarified the effects of earlier strikes:
- Proton-Electrotex, Oryol, struck on 23 October: the main microchip production workshop was destroyed; a building and servers were damaged.
- Tolyattikauchuk, Tolyatti, struck on 24 October: a process pipeline, two butyl rubber production units and a distillation unit were damaged.
- Attack drone site near Donetsk, struck on 23 October: three buildings used to prepare and equip drones and one launch rail were damaged.
These are updates on operations already carried out, rather than new strikes on 26 October.
